LPG forklifts (Liquified Petroleum Gas) combine the advantages of diesel and electric trucks. While diesel forklifts are used outdoors, electric forklifts can show their advantages indoors. But what happens if a material handling application and transport tasks requires a change from inside to the outside? LPG forklifts offer a proper solution. These forklifts can be used effectively in both work environments. Thus, the transport of pallets in the production hall to the outside, and the the other way round is no problem at all. Perfectly equipped for changing tasks, the LPG forklift can be used flexibly and in an environmentally friendly manner. The propellant gas is mounted in the form of a bottle at the rear of this truck. The maximum lifting height is approx. 8 metres with a lifting capacity of up to 8 tons. Storage technology is not available as LPG version. Compared to electric and diesel forklifts the LPG is the cheapest to buy new but their maintenance costs and the fuel are the highest of the three types. As with diesel trucks, they need to be given a special winter treatment (antifreeze).
