Company Information

Founded in 2001 by Tom Leavitt, Leavitt Machinery's origins trace back to his entry into the material handling industry in 1986 as Finning's General Manager for the division. Under his leadership, the division achieved remarkable success, generating $67 million in revenue. When Finning opted to sell the material handling division for a year's revenue to focus on heavy equipment, Tom seized the chance, purchasing and transforming the division into Leavitt Machinery.

Today, Leavitt Machinery stands as a premier material handling dealership, representing 25+ esteemed product lines across 30 locations in North America, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Oregon, California, and Washington state. Our comprehensive services encompass parts, service, new and used equipment sales, rentals, and training. Equipment can be the backbone for any business working with heavy loads. When a machine is down, it could mean a loss in revenue and delay in production. These breakdowns are often the result of improper equipment operation or a lack of equipment maintenance. Planning your equipment’s maintenance at proper intervals ensures your equipment is safe and operates at full capacity. A safe and effective piece of equipment means more time working and less time worrying about potential breakdowns. Equipment breakdowns can happen due to mechanical failures that need repair work. Preventative equipment maintenance catches minor repairs and avoids major issues in the future. These big repairs are usually more expensive and take much longer to fix. Appropriate equipment maintenance helps you avoid larger unplanned expenses. Our advanced service solutions help you achieve equipment reliability and efficiency.
